An article on Modern Man I read while researching my personal insecurities stated, "if you’re asking, 'Should I be worried that my girlfriend wants to have a girls night out?' you need to understand that the answer is not a simple 'yes' or 'no.' Every relationship is different, and every woman is different. Women today are a lot more confident and independent than ever before, and they don’t have to live their lives based on what their man will 'allow' them to do. Welcome to My Dyslexic Heart Blog

The name was borrowed from one of my favorite Paul Westerberg songs, one that speaks to me on several levels. This isn't a music blog, I already have one of those. No, this one is going to cover some of the lessons I've learned over the past 3 decades regarding relationships, bad decisions and life in general. I'll try to keep the language at least PG-13 for the most part, but anybody who knows me will tell you that you're going to read some offensive language at some point. You have been warned. The important thing is, this blog is coming from the heart. Most of what you'll read will be based on actual experiences, both good and bad. Learn from my mistakes so you don't have to make the same ones, and let me help give you a shortcut when it comes to potentially avoidable situations.
