Welcome to My Dyslexic Heart Blog

The name was borrowed from one of my favorite Paul Westerberg songs, one that speaks to me on several levels. This isn't a music blog, I already have one of those. No, this one is going to cover some of the lessons I've learned over the past 3 decades regarding relationships, bad decisions and life in general.

I'll try to keep the language at least PG-13 for the most part, but anybody who knows me will tell you that you're going to read some offensive language at some point. You have been warned. The important thing is, this blog is coming from the heart. Most of what you'll read will be based on actual experiences, both good and bad. Learn from my mistakes so you don't have to make the same ones, and let me help give you a shortcut when it comes to potentially avoidable situations.

Having made my share of mistakes in life, I've also been at the receiving end of some serious neglect and abuse in relationships, and have lived to tell about it. I haven't always been an angel, but I have always owned up to my missteps, and most importantly I have tried my best not to repeat the really bad ones. These blogs will not come in any particular chronological order, but they will cover a wide range of topics. And to be honest, if you can think it, I probably been through it. So if you have any suggestions or questions about a certain topic you might be interested in hearing a different perspective about, please reach out to me.
